"Hongye Tea House", which specializes in Japanese desserts and set meals, is a Japanese cafe that has branches in Tsim Sha Tsui East, Tsuen Wan, Tuen Mun, Tai Kok Tsui and Lai Chi Kok. I recently visited the branch at Empire Centre in Tsim Sha Tsui East to try their most popular black honey matcha warabi mochi, and it was indeed excellent!

The matcha we use is from the century-old Japanese brand "Morihan", which has a strong and sweet tea flavor that lingers on your teeth and cheeks!

The light green marble pattern is very striking, with a light green tea flavor that is not too sweet. I personally recommend it.

The afternoon tea menu is good value for money, with beautifully presented Tiramisu, parfait and Sun Hung Kai dishes. Just order dessert and matcha and you can sit for an entire afternoon and enjoy me time quietly♥

In addition to desserts, we also ordered the very cost-effective "Red Leaf Tea House Set Meal for Two" ($488), which included lobster salad, miso soup, appetizers, main dishes and drinks.

The four appetizers include edamame, cold octopus, fresh sashimi and crispy fried angel shrimp, served in wooden boxes, which are delicious and easy to check in.

Beef Sukiyaki is a must for the main course! Tender and flavorful beef paired with tofu and mixed vegetables, and topped with a hot spring egg, this hot pot is both heart-warming and stomach-warming! The portion of teriyaki chicken is also very large, cooked to perfection, and the meat is tender and juicy. Each main course comes with a bowl of Japanese rice. For an additional $10, you can get clear soup udon, and for an additional $48, you can get mini sashimi rice. Customers can choose freely to combine the two, which is very thoughtful.
