[Hong Kong] Take a local bus to the suburbs.

Enjoy a holiday with sunset and seafood in a village overlooking the city of Shenzhen (China) across the water.

Access:
From the bus terminal at YOHO Mall, directly connected to Yuen Long MTR station, take bus K65 and get off at the final stop, Lau Fau Shan. The trip takes about 30 minutes.
Fare: HKD 5.1 (as of 2025)

After getting off at the final stop, enter the narrow street lined with shops on both sides (Lau Fau Shan Main Avenue) to catch the sunset. Stroll straight ahead while browsing dried fruits, dried seafood, and buying souvenirs.
At the end of the street is the sea!
The high-rise buildings visible across the water are the city of Shenzhen in neighboring China.
After enjoying the sunset, head back along the same street and choose a nice seafood restaurant from the many lined up. If you’re worried about prices, it’s reassuring to ask to see the menu before entering.

Oyster sauce is also recommended as a souvenir.
Return buses run until around 11 PM.
