Hong Kong Velodrome Park is located on Po Hong Road in Tseung Kwan O, adjacent to MTR Hang Hau Station and Tseung Kwan O Station. It is a top spot for family outings and flower viewing in Hong Kong’s in-depth travel scene. The park covers 5.3 hectares and is connected to the Hong Kong Velodrome.
The central lawn is spacious and open, perfect for picnics or flying kites. The artificial lake and small bridges add a poetic touch. Along the lakeside, 31 cherry blossom trees including Yoshino cherry and bellflower cherry bloom from February to March each year, attracting visitors for photo ops. From March to April, the golden trumpet trees light up the park with a stunning sea of yellow flowers in their brief bloom.
The park offers a variety of facilities, including an inclusive playground where children can enjoy slides and climbing nets to burn off energy.
The extreme sports area and climbing wall are ideal for teenagers, while the jogging trail and model boat pond add extra fun. Bicycle rentals are available next to the Velodrome, allowing visitors to cycle along the Tseung Kwan O waterfront to the Cross Bay Bridge or LOHAS Park, exploring the new town scenery.
Nearby Hang Hau Man Kuk Lane Park continues the tranquility of traditional Chinese gardens, and a short walk leads to Metro City Plaza for tasting Hong Kong-style snacks. Hong Kong Velodrome Park, with its nature, flower seasons, and community vitality, offers travelers a chance to escape typical attractions and immerse themselves in Hong Kong’s green lifestyle and local warmth.
