Located in the West Kowloon Cultural District, the M+ Museum is Asia’s first global visual culture museum. It opened on November 12, 2021, becoming Hong Kong’s newest check-in landmark. Designed by Herzog & de Meuron, the museum covers 65,000 square meters and features 33 galleries showcasing 20th to 21st-century visual art, design, architecture, and moving images, with a special focus on Hong Kong and Asian visual culture. The LED screen on the museum’s exterior transforms into a giant light and shadow canvas at night, displaying artworks that complement the Victoria Harbour night view, perfect for capturing stunning city light and shadow photos. The rooftop garden is open to the public for free, offering views of Victoria Harbour and the Hong Kong Island skyline. Twilight is the ideal time to capture dreamy sunsets. Inside, the M+ Sigg Collection exhibition presents the evolution of contemporary Chinese art, along with rich content such as the I.M. Pei special exhibition, making it a place you won’t want to leave. It is recommended to book tickets online in advance to avoid weekend crowds and bring a wide-angle lens to capture the architecture and panoramic views of Victoria Harbour. This is not only a paradise for art lovers but also a must-visit spot to experience the pulse of Hong Kong’s culture!
