Since 2018, New Town Plaza has implemented the "Metro Green" green initiative, creating an over 13,000 square foot urban farm on the 5th-floor sky garden. It is the first all-weather mall farm in Hong Kong open to the public, promoting recycling, waste reduction, and green living. The urban farm grows a variety of organic vegetables and fruits. The organic vegetable harvesting tour allows you to learn how to pick vegetables and harvest organic produce on the spot, such as sweet potato leaves, mustard greens, water spinach, and amaranth, to take home and enjoy the freshest flavors.
