Che Kung Temple – Pray for Good Luck and Fortune in Hong Kong

🏮 Che Kung Temple – Pray for Good Luck and Fortune in Hong Kong ✨

Che Kung Temple, located in the Sha Tin area, is one of the famous temples in Hong Kong that many Thai people like to visit to pray, especially for career success, achievements, and to enhance their luck in life.

I recently had the chance to visit. Just a heads-up, you might need to walk a bit from the MTR station (get off at Che Kung Temple Station, exit at Exit B, then walk about 5-10 minutes). The walk isn’t difficult, just be prepared for a little distance.

Before entering the temple, you can buy a worship set right outside the temple. They sell incense sticks, candles, joss paper, gold leaf sheets, or you can bring your own. I bought a worship set and also got a gold leaf sheet to take home and stick in my house. Some people also buy small windmills to bring back for good luck.

Another thing that impressed me was how well the temple staff took care of visitors. When I entered, they guided me on where to pray first, how to light the incense, and they even lit the incense for me. So, don’t worry about doing it wrong because there’s always someone to help.

The temple features a large statue of "Che Kung," a legendary Chinese general. People believe Che Kung wards off bad luck and brings success, so many come to pray for work and financial blessings.

Before leaving, don’t forget to spin the "Lucky Windmill." Spin it three times clockwise and silently make a wish. It’s believed to help improve your fortune.

Overall, this temple really gives you a sense of spiritual power and is well-organized and warm. Many Thai visitors come here, but it still feels very sacred. If you’re visiting Hong Kong and want to pray for better luck, Che Kung Temple is definitely a must-visit place. 🙏✨
