Golden Bauhinia Square, located at the new wing of the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre in Wan Chai, Hong Kong, is part of the Expo Promenade Garden. In recent years, it has become one of the must-visit tourist spots for many mainland Chinese travelers. The sculpture symbolizes Hong Kong's everlasting prosperity; the bronze statue is 6 meters tall, weighs 70 tons, is cast in bronze, and its surface is covered with gold leaf, resting on a red granite base. The base has a round column with a square bottom, symbolizing the unity of the nine provinces, and is engraved with the Great Wall pattern, representing China embracing Hong Kong.
