Elements actually has British-style Indian food🤩 Sepoy Mess features a vintage and elegant environment, with walls adorned with portraits of Indian soldiers and firearms, creating a strong British colonial era vibe💂🏽 The restaurant has two floors: the first floor is livelier, with many guests enjoying happy hour; the second floor is quiet and comfortable, perfect for savoring the food slowly~ The overall decor centers on brick walls and military elements, paired with sand and olive green tones🪖 It feels like stepping back in history, making the experience unique and full of stories⚔️
🥟Lamb Vindaloo Samosa
The triangular samosas arrive hot, with a golden, crispy thin crust wrapping juicy lamb filling (Vindaloo), somewhat like curry dumplings🤣 The flavor has a mildly spicy, spiced kick, the lamb is rich and aromatic with no gamey taste🤩 The filling also includes onions and herbs, offering a rich layering of flavors, each bite full of surprises! Paired with a tangy and sweet mint sauce that whets the appetite, you’ll find yourself eating one after another🤤
🍢Chicken Tikka Skewers
The smoked chicken skewers are grilled just right, with a slightly charred and crispy exterior and tender, juicy inside😋 The spices are well-marinated, with moderate spiciness and a fragrant taste~ By the way, the chicken pieces are quite large, very generous portions🤣
🍖Lamb Shank Rogan Josh
🫓Garlic Coriander Naan │ Butter Naan
The lamb shank is the highlight of the night🤩 It’s huge🤣 The lamb is stewed until tender, the meat so soft it falls apart with a bite, absolutely no gamey flavor; the curry sauce is rich, with perfectly balanced spices, mildly spicy with a hint of sweetness, very satisfying!
Curry must be paired with naan😆 We ordered two types of naan to soak up the curry sauce -
① Garlic Coriander Naan has a strong garlic aroma, the coriander flavor is light and fresh, baked crispy on the outside and soft inside🤤
② Butter Naan is full of buttery fragrance, soft and fluffy without being greasy👍🏻 The soft curry naan is super appetizing and a perfect match!
🍸Monk Mojito
Refreshing and crisp, with prominent lime and mint flavors🍋 The sparkling water ratio is just right, sweetness moderate, thirst-quenching and invigorating! Perfectly balances the spicy Indian dishes, though the alcohol taste is a bit strong, suitable for those who enjoy stronger drinks🤣
🥭Mango Lassi
A must-try with Indian food😍 The mango flavor is rich, sweetness just right, yogurt smooth and creamy, tastes like a smoothie👍🏻
💚Pistachio Kulfi
Traditional Indian ice cream, with a texture between ice cream and sorbet, cool and smooth on the palate❄️ The pistachio flavor is rich, sweetness just right~ Topped with crushed nuts for added texture, after a rich Indian meal, this dessert is a refreshingly perfect ending~
Summary: Unexpectedly, British fusion Indian food is quite delicious😋 Definitely worth trying!
