Dining in Tsim Sha Tsui | Thai Nong Noodles | Upgraded Thai Boat Noodles

After visiting the Arsenal pop-up store on the ground floor of iSQUARE on Sunday, Waffle and Shrimp Cake looked for a place nearby to have dinner.

Around 6 PM, we saw that "Thai Nong Noodles" had no wait, so we went in.

Besides Thai boat noodles, they also offer Hainan chicken and other snacks.

For drinks, Shrimp Cake ordered the Thai-style lime soda special ($29), and Waffle chose the Thai longan iced special ($29). The longan iced drink is perfect for cooling down, with plenty of longan fruit.

The 7-inch tiger prawn boat noodle soup with sweet potato noodles ($128) has a rich broth, with ingredients including fish balls, fried pork skin, radish, bean sprouts, and okra. The radish is flavorful and tender. The star tiger prawns are large and very crunchy.

The Hiroshima oyster tom yum soup with yellow noodles ($99) comes with as many as five Hiroshima oysters, plus shrimp, crab sticks, mussels, mushrooms, and okra, making it very rich. The tom yum soup is moderately sour and spicy.

The Thai snack platter ($78) includes shrimp cakes, chicken wings, and fried cheese wontons, two pieces of each, perfect for sharing between two people.
