Kwun Tong Semi-Buffet: Unlimited Cold Seafood and Cheesy Crab Meat Risotto!

This restaurant specializes in French fusion semi-buffet dining, starting at $325, which includes a main course, soup, and unlimited access to the salad bar. It also features cold seafood and cold cuts. The spacious and stylish environment, with floor-to-ceiling windows and wooden decor, creates a chill vibe that feels like an escape from the bustling Kwun Tong.

The highlight is undoubtedly the salad bar—featuring jade whelks, blue mussels, smoked salmon, and a variety of cheese platters. It's a paradise for salad lovers! However, to be honest, the quality of the cold seafood is average. The shrimp and whelks are fresh enough, but don't expect lobster or abalone-level delicacies. They work well as decent appetizers.👌

We ordered the saffron crab meat risotto and shrimp cheese wontons. The crab meat risotto was a delightful surprise—the rice was soft and infused with the sweetness of crab roe, beautifully garnished with colorful petals, making it almost too pretty to eat! The wontons were indulgently delicious, bursting with shrimp and creamy cheese filling. The lobster sauce was so rich you'd want to lick the plate, and the salmon roe added an extra touch!

That said, there are some downsides. By 8:30 PM, the salad bar was already being cleared, and staff kept asking if they could take away plates before we were done, making it feel rushed⏰. The salad bar wasn't replenished much, leaving a sense of emptiness towards the end. Overall, the main courses are high-quality, while the salad bar is just average. It's a good choice for casual gatherings without breaking the bank.

The service and ambiance are genuinely commendable. Although the staff were quick to clear plates, they were friendly and attentive! If you enjoy French cuisine and cold seafood, this is a hidden gem in Kwun Tong.
