🛕Tin Hau Temple (meaning "God of the Sea") lives up to its name. Located right on the seafront, the statues are of deities seated on turtles and fish. 😁 Inside the temple are large, colorful statues of the Goddess of Mercy, the Sangkachai Buddha, and various other deities. It's a great place to pray for health, love, and good fortune. The highlight is the towering white statue of Kuan Yin facing the sea, creating a peaceful and sacred atmosphere. There's also a red bridge across it, believed to promote longevity. You can also throw coins into the mouth of the golden fish.
🚘Getting there: From Central, take bus no. 6, 6A, 6X, 66, or 260 and get off at the Repulse Bay stop. It's a 5-minute walk from there. The temple is near the beach. Alternatively, you can take a taxi from Central, which takes only about 20 minutes.
