Fell in love with this slow-paced little town of Nanxun, just 1.5 hours from Hangzhou—perfect for a spontaneous getaway.
🚶♀️Day 1: Slow Strolls · Escape the Crowds
▫️15:00 Visit Xiaolianzhuang and Jiayetang Library to admire the lotus ponds. The small villas by the ponds exude a natural coolness, and you can enjoy the traditional Three-Course Tea by the water.
▫️19:00 Explore Nanxun Ancient Town. Start with a nighttime boat ride from Zhang Jingjiang Pier, then take a leisurely walk north along Baijianlou🍃—white walls, black tiles, and red lanterns create a stunning night view.
🍜Day 2: Morning Vibes · Taste Jiangnan Flavors
▫️9:00 Find a riverside spot at Baijianlou for coffee and wonton soup.
▫️12:00 Try the "Zhuangyuan Lou" double-topped noodles! Crispy fried fish + tender eel strips, cooked to perfection on an old stove—utterly delicious😭.
✨Tips for Ultimate Relaxation:
✅ Baijianlou has more charm than the main street!
The southern section is commercial, while the northern part offers a glimpse of authentic local life.
✅ Wear Hanfu or modern Chinese-style clothing! The cobblestone paths and horse-head walls make for perfect photo backdrops.
💡Accommodation Tip:
Riverside rooms > in-town inns!
We stayed at the 🏫 Nanxun Boyang New Century Resort Hotel right by Xiaolianzhuang.
Just a minute’s walk to the lotus ponds, nestled among greenery with white walls and black tiles.
The breakfast spread is generous, featuring all kinds of local delicacies.
🎫Admission: Permanently free!
