I have been interning in Chengdu recently. The company has assigned me an apartment, but I still go on staycations occasionally. I started with a five-star hotel near the company - Grand Mercure Hotel under Accor. After my stay, my ranking is: gym > room > public area. That said, I would still give it a 9.5/10 overall! It is the most comfortable star hotel I have stayed in within a few kilometers.

First, the room. The front desk upgraded me to a [Deluxe Apartment King Room], about 35 square meters. The entrance has a sense of depth, and the microwave, washing machine, refrigerator, and bathrobe are all available. The bathroom is square, with a large dry and wet separation area. The lighting design is very friendly for makeup, and the toiletries are Rose Magnifique. The bedroom is surrounded by 270° panoramic floor-to-ceiling windows. Smart guest control and wireless charging are standard in new hotels, but the most important thing is a good sleep and a beautiful view, and this hotel does both very well.

Next is the public area. French retro aesthetics are the main theme of the design. Champagne gold complements the turquoise tones, luxury and freshness complement each other, and the exquisite and delicate design is warm and simple. At the same time, the hotel is inspired by the ancient Shu king's palace, integrating the elegance of Shu into the architectural texture. As a result, the modern and exquisite design has a touch of mystery and solemnity of ancient Shu culture.

Finally, the gym, which is also one of the supporting facilities I value most when staying in a hotel. Exercising in a gym with ample space, good lighting, complete facilities, and few people will make you feel very happy. This Grand Mercure perfectly meets the above points, and there is a separate yoga room where you can do bodyweight training or stretching, which is very private.

This hotel also has special meaning for me. Maybe I will still remember the lazy and cozy night when I watched a light comedy with my lover in a fluffy bed, the satisfaction of eating two sunny-side-up eggs for breakfast, and the joy of playing music in the gym.
