Jino Mountain Rainforest Trekking Through Forest Streams

So much fun! We booked the rainforest hiking tour at Muxu·Sen Oxygen Rainforest Hotel, with full shuttle service and a professional guide accompanying us.

If you come to Xishuangbanna, don’t miss the “Jino Mountain Rainforest” trekking tour!
The Jino guide was amazing—he casually picked wild herbs that are Dai medicine, pointing to leaves that can stop bleeding and lifting roots that can dispel dampness. Walking through the rainforest felt like strolling through a natural pharmacy, with knowledge more vivid than textbooks. Of course, the highlight was the fun—climbing the thousand-year-old strangler fig using both hands and feet was super stress-relieving, swinging on the water swing almost made me fall into the water, and getting soaked but laughing so hard I couldn’t stand straight.

After 4.5 kilometers of trekking, my legs were weak, but at the end of the forest, there was an off-road vehicle! Racing down the mountain road with the wind rushing into my collar instantly recharged me. Back at the base, an even bigger surprise awaited—freshly ground wild mountain coffee by the river. Sipping it with the sound of flowing water was a hundred times more relaxing than any trendy café.

📌Tips: Be sure to wear rain boots for slip resistance, bright-colored clothes look great in photos, don’t bring too much stuff, the guide will prepare the gear, and don’t worry about getting wet—the clothes dry quickly.

This trek fully captures the wildness, culture, and relaxation—your Xishuangbanna trip wouldn’t be complete without it!
