The outdoor secret spot is perfect for photos, this natural forest rainforest river view homestay in Xishuangbanna

I really love the relaxed vibe of Xishuangbanna. At the airport, I took off my thick sweater from Lijiang and put on shorts and a short-sleeve shirt. The moment I stepped out of the airport, the breeze felt so free! Along the way, the scenery is full of coconut trees, solitaire palms, and areca palms. The whole city feels so comfortable and relaxing. A big group of small electric scooters waiting at the traffic light—that’s the characteristic of this city!
This time I stayed at a holiday villa homestay on the edge of Jinghong City in Xishuangbanna: Banna Yulu Court · Rainforest River View Villa. Nine detached villas are hidden by the Lancang River in an old Hani village. It’s a resort homestay that offers both a prime river view and a forest rainforest atmosphere. There’s a net bed by the water, centuries-old fig trees, surrounded by mountains, and the Lancang River flows slowly right under your balcony. It’s super cozy and relaxing!
I define this homestay as a natural rainforest river view villa, very much like the vibe of Chiang Mai in Thailand and Bali. Between these mountains and waters, you can truly relax and unwind for a few days—extremely pleasant!
