OMG, you won't believe it! Just returned from Baise and it completely opened my eyes to a new world of affordable luxury. The value for money here is insane - my entire spending philosophy has collapsed!
📍Day1: Haokun Lake
Morning: Self-drive to Haokun Lake. The scenery along the way was breathtakingly beautiful. Though the mountain roads were a bit challenging, every turn was worth it! Don't miss the Kapok Tree Viewing Platform - the lake's blue waters are unreal, every photo turns out insta-worthy.
Noon: Checked into Sanhe Homestay (free entry with stay - what a steal!). Tried their signature Haokun Lake fish dishes - the sour fish and braised fish were so fresh they'll make your taste buds dance.
Afternoon: Hiked from Shadowless Bridge to the Lake Center Island. The panoramic view from the island is beyond words.
Evening: Watched sunset at Fisherman's Pavilion. The golden light makes for magical photos - wear light colors for fairy-like shots!
📍Day2: Jiuzhou Ancient Town - E'Quan
Morning: Explored "China's Embroidery Ball Hometown" Jiuzhou Ancient Town. Wandered through Embroidery Ball Street admiring exquisite handicrafts and even tried making some. Wenchang Pavilion is also worth visiting.
Noon: Sampled affordable local snacks at the ancient town's food stalls.
Afternoon: Visited E'Quan, one of Southwest China's three famous springs and the source of Detian Waterfall. The crystal-clear waters and ancient 15-arch bridge create a living ink painting. Bargain for a bamboo raft ride (about ¥30/person) to experience its beauty up close.
📍Day3: Quyang Lake - Sandie Ridge Waterfall
Morning: Arrived at "Guilin on Water" Quyang Lake with its scattered islands and stunning reflections. Choose between a boat tour (¥50-80) or cycling around the lake (¥20/hour) to enjoy the breeze.
Noon: Savored delicious fresh fish soup at lakeside restaurants.
Afternoon: Made a free stop at 100m-high Sandie Ridge Waterfall on our way back. Standing beneath the cascading mist felt like entering a fairyland - and it's free!
📍Day4: Tongling Grand Canyon - Aibu Waterfall
Morning: Explored Tongling Grand Canyon's primeval rainforest, 188.6m waterfall, and underground caves - like entering a mysterious world with 95% vegetation coverage. The ¥115 ticket is worth every penny.
Noon: Quick meal at nearby restaurants to recharge.
Afternoon: Hiked to pristine Aibu Waterfall's three-tiered cascades. Completely undeveloped and perfect for adventure lovers - and yes, still free!
Baise is truly a hidden gem - stunning scenery without breaking the bank. My wallet stayed happy while my joy meter maxed out! You guys HAVE to visit!
