We couldn’t resist trying two of their standout items—the Mala Little Bit Spicy Fried Chicken Bagel and the Taro Gao Sweet Bagel—and we’re so glad we did. The Mala Little Bit Spicy Fried Chicken Bagel was an absolute treat. The fried chicken was crispy, juicy, and coated in a perfect amount of mala sauce. The spicy kick had just the right balance—enough to satisfy our craving for something bold and flavorful but not overwhelming. Then came the Taro Gao Sweet Bagel, which was a whole new experience. The bagel was open-faced, generously spread with a smooth taro cream that wasn’t overly sweet. On top of that, there was a whole piece of nian gao, which added a chewy texture that paired so well with the creamy taro. We loved how the sweetness of the taro was balanced by the nian gao, making every bite comforting and satisfying. It was definitely a unique twist on a sweet bagel that we’ll be going back for.
