Amari Johor Bahru – Honest Review

Amari Johor Bahru is located right in the heart of the city, just across from Komtar JBCC and near the customs checkpoint. The location is unbeatable for quick access to malls, food, and the CIQ.

The room was clean, modern, and spacious. Comfortable bed, strong shower pressure, and a nice city view. Air-conditioning was slightly inconsistent — either too cold or not cool enough. Overall, very comfortable.

I had access to the Executive Lounge. It was quiet and offered light snacks, drinks, and evening cocktails. Not luxurious, but decent enough for a relaxing break away from the crowd. Service there was attentive.

Breakfast at Amaya Food Gallery had a wide variety — local dishes, Western options, fresh pastries, and good coffee. The nasi lemak and roti canai were particularly good.

Pool area looks great, though the water was quite cold. Gym is well-equipped and clean.

Staff were friendly and responsive. Check-in and check-out were smooth. Surrounding area is lively with plenty of restaurants, cafés, and massage places within walking distance.

Verdict:
Solid 4-star city hotel. Stylish, convenient, and great for weekend getaways or business stays. Would stay again.
