Kamakura Hasedera Temple

Kamakura Hasedera Temple is filled with adorable Jizo Bodhisattvas. Hasedera Temple welcomes visitors with a red lantern 🏮 and a large pine tree 🌲. Adults can enter the temple for a fee of 300 yen to pay their respects.

Inside the temple, there is a Benten Cave dedicated to the goddess Benzaiten. The cave features carvings of Benzaiten's attendants, known as the Sixteen Children. Other caves house numerous small Benzaiten figurines. The cave is quite low, so adults need to bend down to walk through.

The temple also has many large and small Jizo Bodhisattvas, which are very cute.

Additionally, there is a scenic path within the temple grounds. From this path, visitors can enjoy a panoramic view of Kamakura City. The hydrangea season attracts many visitors, but even in early December, the autumn leaves 🍁 provide beautiful photo opportunities.
