✓Kazuemachi Teahouse Street
One of Kanazawa's three major teahouse districts, Kazuemachi is located near the bustling Higashi Chaya Street, but it's much less crowded, offering a tranquil stroll along the Asano River. Kazuemachi's name derives from the residence of Tomita Kazuemachi, a samurai from the Kaga domain. Its wooden buildings, cherry blossom trees, and riverside attractions create a charming atmosphere.
Kazuemachi's narrow streets are lined with traditional buildings. Most are geisha teahouses, accessible only through referrals. However, a few restaurants and cafes along the riverside promenade are open to the public.
Access: Take the Kanazawa Loop Bus, Hokuriku Local Line Bus, or West JR Bus to Hashibacho. Walk for about 5 minutes.
