【Kanazawa】Experience 'Feelable Art' at the Popular 21st Century Museum 🪞

I visited one of Kanazawa's most popular spots, the 21st Century Museum of Contemporary Art, Kanazawa. The futuristic circular glass building is striking, and the architecture itself feels like a part of the art 💫.

🕰️ Address & Access
〒920-8509 1-2-1 Hirosaka, Kanazawa City, Ishikawa Prefecture
About 10 minutes by bus from Kanazawa Station (get off at Korinbo Bus Stop, right nearby).

🎟️ Admission:
Permanent exhibitions (outdoor displays) are free, while special exhibitions require separate tickets. You can enjoy the outdoor displays without a ticket.

🌈 Outdoor Exhibits
Many works can be enjoyed without a ticket, including colorful monuments, cloud-inspired sculptures, silver bean-like chairs, and horn-shaped pieces. All are photogenic and will make you want to grab your camera 📸.

🪞 Swimming Pool (Leandro Erlich)
Although I didn’t have a reservation this time and could only view it from the outside, it was still enjoyable to look down from above. The illusion of people being underwater sparked various imaginative thoughts ✨.

🎭 Indoor Exhibits
Particularly memorable pieces included:
- An installation called 'so mean' that moves like an eel.
- A stone exhibit that evokes the flow of nature and time.
- A thought-provoking piece titled 'Polar Bears and Tigers Cannot Fight Together.'
- Abstract paintings drawn with massive ink strokes, showcasing an overwhelming sense of scale!

Each work carries profound themes, making this museum more about 'feeling' than just 'viewing' art 🫶. If you have the chance to visit Kanazawa, be sure to stop by!
