We stayed at Kaohsiung Marriott Hotel, which is worthy of being a five-star hotel, with modern decoration and a sense of luxury. It was newly built not long ago, with first-class hardware. There is also a metal installation art in the lobby, which is quite nice to take pictures.

The biggest advantage of Kaohsiung Marriott is that it is co-located with the Yixiang Tiandi shopping mall. Not only does it share a parking lot, it is also very convenient for shopping or dining at Xuji. The hotel itself has many public facilities, including an indoor swimming pool, a fitness center, and a wide variety of restaurants and bars.

The rooms are basically pretty standard. There are only two bottles of water in the refrigerator, but no minibar or coffee machine. Fortunately, the rooms are spacious. The basic classic room is 46 square meters, and the marble bathroom is very beautiful. Weekday room rate for two people including breakfast is RMB 6,800.

My friend stayed in a larger suite, which is 69 square meters and has a separate small living room. The view from the high floors is better, especially the night view from the sky, but it is not cheap. On weekdays, it costs 12,000 yuan for two people including breakfast.

For breakfast, we had a buffet with a wide variety of items. However, we should also try the traditional breakfast snacks in Kaohsiung, which are the real delicacies!
