The Kaohsiung Port Cruise Terminal building resembles a giant whale, with 15 floors above ground and 2 floors underground. The first and second floors serve as the international passenger arrival and departure halls, offering 22 manual immigration counters. The third floor features an observation deck called the 'Ocean Melody Art Plaza.' From the observation deck, visitors can view the Kaohsiung Port area, the Ocean Cultural and Popular Music Center, and the Pier-2 Art Center. Some indoor spaces are used for cultural and artistic exhibitions, making it a venue for Kaohsiung to enhance its international marketing.
