Katori Shrine, one of the three great shrines of the eastern part of Japan!

Katori Shrine is located in Katori City, Chiba Prefecture, and is the Ichinomiya of Shimousa Province.

Together with Kashima Shrine and Ikisu Shrine in Ibaraki Prefecture, it is one of the Three Eastern Shrines, and is not only one of the representative shrines of the Kanto region, but also has a wonderful landscape, making it a must-visit spot for tourists in the Hokuso area.

Before the Meiji era, only three shrines were enshrined under the title of "Shrine": Ise, Katori, and Kashima. This shows how special Katori Shrine was to the Japanese people.

Access
Get off at JR Sawara Station, and take a taxi for about 10 minutes.
You can also use various buses from JR Sawara Station.
