【Kanagawa】A Tofu Specialty Restaurant That Feels Like a Hot Spring Inn

I visited Ukai, a tofu specialty restaurant located in Saginuma, Kanagawa Prefecture. As soon as I stepped inside, I was amazed! The atmosphere was reminiscent of a luxurious hot spring inn, completely unexpected in the midst of a residential area.

This time, we used the restaurant for a traditional "Okuizome" ceremony, and they provided a baby bed, making it a very comfortable experience.

Being a tofu specialty restaurant, it was my first time trying a tofu course meal, and it was absolutely delicious. The Okuizome set meal was also delightful.

The courtyard features a pond and a waterwheel, creating a serene Japanese garden that was truly relaxing. Many visitors were taking photos as well.

In addition to course meals, they also offer afternoon tea on weekdays. If you're looking for a nearby spot to enjoy a travel-like experience, want to relax in nature while savoring delicious food, or simply love tofu, this is a must-visit spot!
