Kinmen Juguang Tower

🏯 Juguang Tower in Kinmen is Kinmen's most iconic landmark. Built in 1952, it honors the heroic deeds of soldiers and officers who fought in Kinmen's battles and embodies the spirit of "Never Forget Ju." This imitation-palace-style building draws inspiration from classical architecture, incorporating the cross-shaped floor plan and cross-ridged roof of the corner towers of Beijing's Forbidden City, creating a majestic and imposing presence.

Juguang Tower has featured on numerous Republic of China stamps, gaining international fame through the global distribution of these stamps. Inside, the tower showcases artifacts from the Kinmen War, including wind lion statues and sorghum liquor. A telescope on the rooftop offers panoramic views of Xiamen.
