Mojiko Retro was the best part of my trip to Fukuoka.
The historic streets and breathtaking views of the Kanmon Strait were truly soothing!
Here's a perfect two-day, one-night itinerary.
[Day 1: Retro Town Walk and Hot Dinner]
1. Arrive at Mojiko Station & Explore
Start your trip at Mojiko Station, with its beautiful, symmetrical wooden station building.
The red brick buildings around the station are truly retro and charming.
The Starbucks in the Mojiko Retro District has a great atmosphere and is perfect for a break!
2. Have the View All to Yourself! Mojiko Premier Hotel
This hotel offers a stunning ocean view, with panoramic views of the Kanmon Strait and Kanmon Bridge from your room!
The lobby was decorated with cute Halloween decorations, perfectly capturing the seasonal atmosphere and lifting your spirits. 🎃
The decorations seem to change with the seasons, so it's sure to be a great photo spot no matter when you visit. 📷
3. End Day 1 with some local delicacies!
For dinner, we enjoyed the rich flavor of their specialty baked curry!
The piping hot cheese and melted egg were incredibly satisfying🔥
[Day 2: A Luxurious Morning and a Strait Crossing]
✨An Exquisite Hotel Breakfast (Morning Champagne Included!)✨
The biggest surprise of the trip was the all-you-can-drink champagne at the hotel breakfast🍾🥂!
Sipping morning champagne while overlooking the ocean felt incredibly luxurious.
We took a break in our room and relaxed until check-out.
🚢 Ferry to Shimonoseki! Sushi Lunch at Karato Market
For lunch, we took the ferry from Mojiko Port to Karato Market in Shimonoseki!
You could get there by car, but with the ocean right in front of you, we had to take it.
Enjoyed fresh nigiri sushi at the market🍣
Crossing the strait in a flash
is a unique pleasure in this area!
🌟 I was truly satisfied with this itinerary!
In addition to strolling through the retro streets, the unexpected luxury of a morning shower at a hotel with a spectacular view, and the sumptuous gourmet relay of grilled curry and sushi from Karato Market were wonderful memories.
Mojiko Port is not just retro, but its compact size allows you to enjoy both gourmet food and spectacular views.
