Tucked away in the Kitano district of Kobe, the Kobe Muslim Mosque is a serene and beautifully preserved place of worship.
Built in 1935, it is the first mosque ever constructed in Japan, making it a significant historical and cultural site.
The mosque’s elegant Islamic architecture stands out in this Western-influenced area. Visitors can appreciate the peaceful ambiance, and while non-Muslims cannot enter the prayer hall, the exterior alone is worth a visit for its intricate design.
