Kobe Kitano Foreigner's House

It was another sunny day. After breakfast at the hotel, we headed to Kobe. We took the Hanshin Railway from Umeda Station to Sannomiya, Kobe. The adult fare was 330 yen per person, and the journey took about 40 minutes.

After exiting the station, it was about a 20-minute walk to our first destination: the Kitano Ijinkan (Korean Foreigners' House).

The morning temperature was a bit low, around 9-10°C. Perhaps because Kobe isn't a large city, walking around was very comfortable. The Kitano Ijinkan is located halfway up a mountain, so the air was fresh, and it wasn't cold at all while basking in the sun – very pleasant 😌.

These are Western-style buildings left over from the early Western occupation of Japan, which have been revitalized and opened to tourists. Of course, some indoor areas require a ticket for entry, but visitors can still take photos and enjoy the surroundings for free.

These Western-style buildings are built into the mountainside, with fresh air. Some have even been converted into cafes and canteens for visitors to rest and recharge 😅
