Mu Ko Lanta National Park, located in Koh Lanta District, Krabi Province, is a marine national park situated in the Andaman Sea. It consists of numerous beautiful islands surrounded by rich natural resources, mangrove forests, and various small and large islands. Koh Lanta is divided into Koh Lanta Noi and Koh Lanta Yai. This time, we visited Koh Lanta Yai, heading to the far end of the island.
This trip, we brought along P'Ko to help pull us along after not running for a while. We started running from our accommodation, OYO 1085 Ma Lanta House, to Mu Ko Lanta National Park, covering a distance of about 6 kilometers with an elevation gain of over 200 meters. The steep sections were quite challenging, and we complained all the way 😁. If anyone wants to try running, we recommend bringing water or snacks along.
For those driving, be cautious about the route as it is steep almost the entire way. Having good driving skills is essential for safety.
We started around 5:00 PM, enjoying the pleasant atmosphere and cool breeze. Everything about nature was wonderful. On the way back, we stopped by the beach to take photos of the sunset and walked along the beach back to our accommodation, successfully avoiding the steep path. Haha.
Entrance fee: 40 Baht per person
Park hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
