❤️ Crystal-clear sea, delicious food, and irresistibly romantic accommodations!
Feeling a bit drained lately, I decided to find something to quickly heal my heart! I didn’t want to drive far or deal with complicated plans, so Koh Larn in Chonburi came to mind. I visited a long time ago and was impressed by its clear waters and charming cafes, so I decided to go back again!
🚤 Starting with a boat ride from Pattaya
We drove from Bangkok, which took about 2 hours, to Bali Hai Pier in Pattaya. From there, you have two boat options:
• Regular ferry (30 THB/person, about 40 minutes)
• Speedboat (more expensive but much faster, around 15 minutes)
Being in a chill mood, we chose the regular ferry and enjoyed the breeze on the deck. Honestly, just sitting on the boat already started to calm my mind.

🏝️ Arriving at Koh Larn, no time wasted!
Once we arrived, we rented a motorbike (150 THB/day) and headed straight to our accommodation. The surroundings were simple, with local homes and a laid-back vibe. But as we got closer to the sea—wow! The vibe completely changed! Clear skies and sparkling turquoise waters that I hadn’t seen in ages.

🛏️ Staying at Baan I Taley On Sea
We booked this place because we wanted a true seaside experience—not just a distant view of the ocean. And this place delivered! It’s right by the sea, with a balcony for relaxing and even a net hammock extending out from the room, making you feel like you’re floating above the water.
At night, the sound of waves replaced music, creating the perfect escape from the world. Whether you’re here alone or with a partner, the romantic vibe is unbeatable.

🌅 Day 2: Exploring beaches and snapping endless photos
We started the day by riding our motorbike around the island. Here are some must-visit spots:
• Tien Beach – Quiet and incredibly clear waters, like a postcard come to life.
• Samae Beach – Features a long wooden bridge, perfect for photos that feel straight out of a music video.
• Ta Waen Beach – A bit crowded but packed with food options.
• Seaside cafes – Think white, Bali-style cafes that are adorable and make you feel like you’re abroad.
⸻
🍽️ Food that doesn’t disappoint
We ate at a local seafood restaurant, and it was amazing! Fresh squid, spicy seafood dipping sauce, and grilled prawns that were so good they left us speechless (and drooling, haha).

💬 Reflections after the trip
This trip wasn’t meticulously planned, but it gave me genuine peace of mind. I got to spend time with myself, see the ocean, smell the salty sea breeze, and laugh when the motorbike broke down mid-ride. It was simple yet meaningful.
If you’re feeling tired or just a bit down, consider pinning Koh Larn on your map. It’s not far, but the happiness you’ll gain is far greater than you’d expect ❤️
