Begin your day early in Bangkok with a visit to Wat Pho, one of the city’s oldest and most revered temples, home to the iconic Reclining Buddha—a 46-meter-long symbol of peace and enlightenment.
The golden statue glows beautifully in the morning light, and the temple grounds are quiet and peaceful before the crowds arrive.
But Wat Pho is more than its famous Buddha. It is also known as the birthplace of traditional Thai massage. The temple complex includes a prestigious massage school where you can book a legit Thai massage with skilled practitioners—perfect after sightseeing.
🕘 Best time to visit:
– Morning (8:00–10:00 a.m.) for fewer tourists and softer light
🎟️ Entry fee: ~200 THB (includes a bottle of water)
👚 Dress code: Respectful attire covering shoulders and knees
💆♂️ Massage option:
– Book at the Wat Pho Thai Traditional Massage School, located inside the complex
– Walk-ins are possible, but reserving ahead via Trip.com is safer during peak season
📍 Located near the Grand Palace—combine both for a powerful morning of Thai heritage
