Dream Hotel in Koh Phangan

I stayed at Varivana during my trip to Koh Phangan, and honestly, it was one of the highlights of my whole holiday. The resort sits on a hillside, so everywhere you look you get these amazing views of the jungle, the ocean, and the sunsets that feel like a painting.

The rooms are super comfortable and modern, with big terraces where I could just sit and soak in the scenery. I loved waking up in the morning, opening the curtains, and seeing the sea and the mountains in the same frame.

But the real gem is the rooftop infinity pool. I spent hours up there, either floating around with a cocktail in hand or just lying back and watching the sky change colors at sunset. It feels really peaceful, like you’re above the world.

The food was another highlight—especially breakfast, which was fresh and generous. In the evenings, I had dinner at the rooftop restaurant a few times, and the combination of good food and incredible views was unforgettable.

What really made the stay special, though, was the staff. Everyone was genuinely warm, helpful, and went out of their way to make me feel comfortable—whether it was arranging a scooter, giving local tips, or just checking in with a smile.

If you’re looking for a place to relax, recharge, and enjoy the beauty of Koh Phangan in a quiet, stylish setting, I can’t recommend Varivana enough. It’s not right on the beach, but honestly, with that pool and those views, I didn’t miss it at all.
