This marine park is an incredible value for money and the perfect escape from Kota Kinabalu city life. The boat ride from Jesselton Point is quick (under 20 minutes!), making it ideal for a spontaneous day trip. We chose the Sapi-Manukan island hop. Sapi had surprisingly decent snorkeling right near the beach, with lots of colorful fish in the designated area. Manukan was more developed, had great facilities, and was better for just relaxing on the long, sandy beach. It can get crowded after 11 AM, especially on weekends, so aim for an early morning departure to get the best spots!
