Cafe run by world championship barista

#cityplaybook

I've visited this place numerous times since it opened several years ago, shortly after the barista won a world championship.

The pricing leans toward the premium side, but the quality ingredients and creative dish combinations often justify the cost. Many of the items I've tried here feel unique—I've rarely encountered exact equivalents elsewhere.

However, I find the RM16.90 flat white (house blend) underwhelming. It delivers a standard medium to medium-dark roast with a chocolatey profile—nothing particularly memorable.

The cakes, on the other hand, are a highlight—many are infused with strong alcohol. If you've been to Rekindle, you'll notice similarities, likely because they share the same cake supplier. Honestly, the cakes are often the main reason I drop by, haha.

What stands out most to me is their customer service. On two separate occasions when my dining experience fell short, they removed the affected items from the bill without hesitation.
