📍Kumamoto Castle is one of Japan's three most famous castles, along with Himeji Castle and Matsumoto Castle.
📍The castle tower is large and tall, offering sweeping views of Kumamoto City. It's a historical landmark in the heart of the city.
📍The castle itself was severely damaged in the 2016 Kumamoto Earthquake, and restoration work was completed in 2021. However, it's far from complete, and it will take a long time to fully restore. We're rooting for a speedy recovery.
