Sensoji Temple 🏮

Sensoji Temple, also known as Asakusa Temple, is a very popular temple for tourists visiting Tokyo. It's the most famous temple in Tokyo, thanks to the large red lantern at the entrance. This iconic landmark draws many visitors. Even on a weekday, it was incredibly crowded. The temple also boasts a wealth of traditional Japanese architecture for you to explore.

Getting there: Take the Tokyo Metro Ginza Line or the Toei Asakusa Line to Asakusa Station. Turn left and walk about 100 meters. You'll see a large red lantern. Walk through the market to reach the temple.
