How about a scenic train journey around Malaysia? Traveling by Malaysian Railway

#OverseasTransport

This time, I’ll introduce how to use the Malaysian Railway🙆‍♀️ When I tried to tour Penang Island and Langkawi Island from Kuala Lumpur around New Year's, I used buses, trains, and boats, and I truly recommend the train. So, I summarized it simply!!!
The second photo is the onboard sales cart!
It’s kind of exciting, right? I didn’t need anything, but I wanted to buy something🙆‍♂️

It may look like a tough way to go, but around New Year's, the train from Kuala Lumpur was fully booked when I checked two weeks in advance, so I returned from Langkawi to Kuala Lumpur this way.

I also used buses, but
⚠️ I do not recommend using buses from Kuala Lumpur! I understand it’s a busy season around New Year's, but even arriving an hour early, check-in and ticket issuance were just barely possible. Kuala Lumpur’s bus station is really crowded, so I think buses to Kuala Lumpur are okay🙆‍♀️

If you go to Malacca, buses are the only option, but Malacca buses are relatively punctual if you choose carefully, and the boarding points are easy to find.
Buses shake so much it’s scary🫨 If you get a bad driver, you feel your life is at risk, so I don’t recommend long distances. On the bus to the ferry terminal from Penang to Langkawi, I was bounced so hard I almost hit my head on the ceiling. None of the five buses I took this time had seat belts.
I prioritize safety, so I always wear seat belts on overseas buses, but since they don’t even have them, all I can do is pray not to die crying. So, I recommend the train!

【Reservations】
You can book on the Malaysian Railway website.
You can also book from the Malaysian Railway app!
You can book at major stations, but during busy seasons, seats fill up, so I recommend checking in advance.
