Le County Taoping Qiang Village and Ganbao Tibetan Village Leisure Two-Day Free Travel Guide

A leisurely three-day trip during the Qingming holiday, not wanting to rush or travel too much, just wanting to find a sunny place to relax, so I chose this route.
DAY 1: Depart from Chengdu - Wenchuan - Taoping Qiang Village
In the morning, take a bus from Chengdu Chadianzi Bus Station to Wenchuan (many departures, tickets can be booked online in advance, price 50 yuan, travel time 2-3 hours). After arriving at Wenchuan Bus Station, there are many small buses, about every 20 minutes, ticket price 10 yuan. Arrive at Taoping Qiang Village.
This is a very clean village with few people. Below is an area with restaurants and inns, but the houses are all in the style of Qiang ethnic fortress towers. The old village is located higher up and is the main sightseeing spot, the filming location of the movie "Killing," and the home of the Qiang King of a thousand households. Admission requires a ticket (Tip: free admission after 6 pm). Since we planned to stay in the Qiang Village that night, we visited the old village after 6 pm. The buildings are indeed very distinctive, blending architectural features with Qiang culture. If you are not afraid of heights, you can climb the fortress tower at the Qiang King’s house (the wooden ladder is very steep) to see a panoramic view of the Qiang Village.
At night, we booked a starry sky room; if the weather is good, you can lie in bed and watch the stars. There are very few tourists in the village, and it basically quiets down after 7 pm, which is very comfortable.
Friendly reminder: If you plan to go to Bipenggou the next day, you can communicate with the locals; many people work in the scenic area and can depart early together to Bipenggou.

DAY 2: Taoping Qiang Village - Li County - Ganbao Tibetan Village
Wake up naturally, the feeling of being awakened by birdsong is wonderful. On the way to Li County, just hitch a ride to set off, ticket price 10 yuan, about half an hour. It’s 8 kilometers from Li County to Ganbao Tibetan Village. Take a stroll in Li County, which is a county with ethnic minority characteristics. There are few food options in the Tibetan village, so lunch can be had in Li County town.
The main scenic spot in the Tibetan village is the prayer flags on the mountaintop. From the viewing platform, you can see the entire Tibetan village. The wind is strong, and the prayer flags flutter beautifully.
At night, stay at a guesthouse next to the Tibetan village. When we arrived, the owner had just gone out and told us to take the main gate key from the cabinet at the door, then take the room card and just go stay. When leaving, lock the main gate and return the key. Such a laid-back owner. The owner is a very beautiful Tibetan young lady. When the temperature dropped at night, she warmly offered to turn on the electric stove in the living room to keep us warm. My friend and I sat by the stove, looking at the lights on the mountain’s prayer flags outside the window (there were actually many LED strips inside the prayer flags), like the Milky Way scattered down, chatting casually. It was so quiet around that we dared not speak loudly, feeling very peaceful.
The guesthouse beds are wooden and very comfortable to sleep on.

DAY 3: Ganbao Tibetan Village - Li County - Chengdu
The Tibetan village in the early morning has that cool, quiet, and comfortable feeling. It truly makes people feel relaxed.
Again, just casually hitch a ride by the roadside to Li County Bus Station (5 yuan).
Li County Bus Station has direct buses to Chengdu Chadianzi Bus Station. There are not many departures, but tickets can be booked online in advance, price 66 yuan, travel time 3-4 hours.
If you want to go to Bipenggou, Li County Bus Station also has many direct buses to scenic spots, which is very convenient.
