Next stop｜Xiamen → Guanzhaishan family trip departure!

Escape the city noise with the kids this weekend and start a one-day trip to Guanzhaishan from Xiamen～Packing baby snacks and a water bottle, plus my selfie stick, our family’s happy hiking journey begins⛰️!
This time, it took us over 4️⃣ hours to hike up and down. If you take it slow and take more photos of the kids, it would probably take 5-6 hours to finish. The pace is perfect for a family trip～

Actually, I stumbled upon this mountain while browsing travel guides, and I was amazed as soon as we arrived at the scenic spot! Along the way, you can watch exciting performances, take a boat ride with the kids🛥, and the baby was super excited crossing the suspension bridge. Riding the elevator🛗 and cable car🚠 made the kids cheer nonstop, and even the glass bridge was walked slowly holding our hands. There are so many activities～
And I have to praise! The staff at the scenic area were really, really nice👍. Seeing us with kids, they actively helped carry things and pointed out directions, making the family travel experience top-notch!
Later, I learned about the saying “Beiyi in the north, Guanzhai in the south” in Fujian. The scenery of this mountain can fully rival Wuyi Mountain, making it perfect for showing kids the beauty of nature～

1️⃣ High-speed train🚄 Xiamen Station — Guanzhaishan Station (80 yuan): Taking the high-speed train with kids is super convenient. The baby quickly enjoyed looking out the window from the seat～ After getting off, there is no direct shuttle bus to the scenic area, so we took a taxi to Shimen Lake (Guanzhaishan Scenic Area South Gate), about 20 yuan, and the ride is not far, so the kids didn’t get tired～
2️⃣ Return trip🚄 Guanzhaishan South Station — Xiamen Station (80 yuan): After playing, exit from the scenic area’s North Gate, take a bus to the tourist center, then ask the driver or security guard for the bus stop location to take a bus to Guanzhaishan South Station, only 8 yuan!
(Important! Guanzhaishan South Station is far from the scenic area, taxi fare is 60-70 yuan, so taking the bus with kids is more cost-effective and lets them enjoy the scenery along the way～)
Tickets 💰150: For a family of three to enjoy so many activities and see stunning scenery, I think it’s very worth it!

❗️❗️❗️Family safety reminder: When hiking with kids, always stay together with family and never go alone🙅‍♀️! Some parts of the mountain are steep, and kids might get curious and run around. Having companions means more supervision. We went on a weekday and met other families with kids halfway up. The second half had fewer people, so my husband and I kept holding the baby’s hand, just in case of accidents～ Safety is always the top priority when traveling with kids!
