[Germany] Linderhof Palace

Linderhof Castle is the only completed castle built by King Ludwig II, and was modeled after the Trianon Palace in the Palace of Versailles.

The castle is completely surrounded by forest, and the garden in front and the Alps behind it create a magnificent landscape. The interior is filled with gorgeous decorations, and in the garden you can see a beautiful fountain with a golden goddess statue.

Although it is small in scale and compact,
the palace was modeled after the Palace of Versailles, so the interior was luxurious and very easy to see.

It left a stronger impression on me than Neuschwanstein Castle.

I went there because I was scheduled to take a day trip bus tour around Neuschwanstein Castle, and I'm really glad I did.
