Who would have thought Liyang is so close to Hangzhou? You can get there by train for just CNY 87. These places in Liyang are often trending on social media. Are they worth visiting? Let me tell you the truth. 👇🏻
🏯 Dajue Temple
Navigate to 📌 Foguang Zuting Dajue Temple
A peaceful paradise in the hustle and bustle of the world, this temple is hidden among the mountains and rivers. The buildings are scattered, and the white walls and brown tiles complement the green mountains and rivers. It is known as the Potala Palace of Jiangnan. It was built by Master Xingyun and is a temple without incense, offering flowers instead.
There are vegetarian noodles for CNY 10 at the entrance, but the waiters have a bad attitude. The Dripping Water Pavilion in Dajue Temple offers vegetarian meals for CNY 10–30, available all day from 8:00–17:00.
📚 Fang Suo Commune
A spiritual utopia for literary youth, it is like a temple where knowledge and art intertwine, skillfully integrating elements such as bookstores, aesthetic life, and coffee. It offers different scenery during the day and at night. As soon as you enter, the tall bookshelves reach the ceiling, as if you are in a sea of knowledge.
🎊 Liyang Museum
The exterior of Liyang Museum is like an art sculpture growing from the ground, but the photos that went viral were all edited to include the sky. You can stop by if you have time.
Inside the museum, the rich cultural relics and multimedia displays take you through time and space to appreciate the development of Liyang from ancient times to the modern era. From Neolithic pottery to paintings and calligraphy from the Ming and Qing Dynasties, each exhibit carries the memory of this city. The design of the museum cleverly uses light and shadow effects to create a mysterious and historical atmosphere. Whether you are taking photos of the cultural relics or people, you will be surprised by the unexpected effects. 📷
Accommodation 🏡 Liyang Zhilanqu Lakefront B&B
After a day of fun, you must stay at the comfortable and beautiful Liyang Zhilanqu Lakefront B&B. 💕 The B&B is located by a picturesque lake. In the morning, the sun shines on the lake, and the water sparkles. Open the window to breathe the fresh air and enjoy the beauty of nature.
The rooms in the B&B are warm and elegant, and the white exterior has a California vibe. I would call it the Beverly Hills of Jiangsu. Here, you can take a leisurely walk by the lake and enjoy the sunset, or you can chat with friends on the terrace in the evening breeze. The B&B offers thoughtful and attentive service, making you feel at home. Fall asleep to the sound of insects and have a sweet dream. 🌙
