A Perfect Day in the City of London: History, Skyscrapers, and Hidden Gems

At Paul’s Cathedral is one of the most iconic landmarks of London and is known all around the world for surviving the Ariel blitz of the Second World War. The cathedrals dome can be seen for miles and is one of the protected views of London, the skyscrapers of the city have to conform to lots of regulations so the dome can always be seen.
My favourite approach to the icon is from the direction of the Tate modern, over the millennium bridge (famous from Harry Potter) that way you can frame the dome between buildings for some frame photos.
Also if you go to the one new change mall near at Paul’s you can take the lift up and take great photos, the glass mall frames the dome perfectly and gives some amazing contrasts.
You can go into the cathedral at a charge but It can be very busy with a long wait - so you plan your visit early in the day! You can get the tube right there or walk from bank to appreciate the history of the area fully.
