Aman means "tranquility" in Sanskrit, and taka comes from Hinayana Buddhist literature such as the Tipitaka and the Dharma. Therefore, the word Amantaka describes a picturesque paradise far away from the hustle and bustle, just like the tranquility and leisure of the small town where it is located.
Amantaka is located in the streets of Luang Prabang. It is very convenient for traveling nearby. You can hear the voices of people, cars and even the bells and chanting of Buddhist temples nearby, which is a completely different experience.
The hotel features just 24 spacious suites flanking a wide courtyard and a central swimming pool, and of the 15 buildings, nine are UNESCO-protected structures. The carefully restored green shutters, brown roof and white walls give the entire hotel a strong French colonial style and a retro feel.
