One trick to get the stunning autumn colors of Lushan✨ The misty fairyland journey is truly breathtaking
In late autumn, accidentally entering Lushan’s misty wonderland🌫️ Wulao Peak appears faintly in the sea of clouds, the sound of Sandie Spring waterfall echoes through the valley. Here’s a 3-day 2-night nanny-level guide for you~
🌲 Must-visit attractions
1️⃣ Hanpokou
Lushan’s most spectacular sea of clouds viewing platform! Recommended to come before 6 AM to catch the sunrise🌅 The water reflects the morning glow, and the moment the sea of clouds surges is truly stunning
Address: Eastern part of Lushan Scenic Area
2️⃣ Sandie Spring
The famous waterfall known as "Not visiting Sandie Spring means you’re not a true Lushan guest"💦 Three tiers with a total drop of 155 meters, especially magnificent during the rainy season (remember to wear non-slip shoes!)
Tips: You can take the cable car to mid-mountain and then walk down, saving effort and making it more fun
3️⃣ Wulao Peak
Five peaks arranged like elderly men sitting⛰️ On misty days, you can capture ink painting-like effects; on clear days, you can see the full view of Poyang Lake
Recommended to take the East Gate route, the steps are gentler
4️⃣ Lulin Lake
A secret lake treasured by locals💧 The French plane trees by the lake are perfect for autumn photos, and the Christian church opposite is very charming
Address: 1 km southwest of Guling Town center
5️⃣ Dakou Waterfall
The filming location for Li Bai’s "The waterfall plunges straight down three thousand feet!" Even steeper and more shocking than Sandie Spring💥 Best to shoot in the morning for optimal lighting
🛏️ Accommodation guide
▪️ First choice: Guling Town – restaurants and supermarkets are concentrated here, convenient for everywhere
▪️ To see the sea of clouds, stay near Hanpokou, but dining options are far away
▪️ Remember to book rooms 2 weeks in advance during peak season! We stayed at Yunwu Mountain Villa, which was nice
🍜 Food highlights
▫️ Lushan Food Stalls: Must-try "Three Stones Feast" with stone chicken, stone fish, and stone ear mushrooms
▫️ Old Neighborhood: Poyang Lake fathead fish is a specialty! About 60 RMB per person to eat until full
▫️ Don’t forget to try freshly made Lushan mist tea cakes🍵 Perfect with tea
📸 Photo tips
✅ Cloud seas are easier to encounter on rainy or overcast days
✅ Wearing bright-colored clothes makes photos stand out
✅ The lower viewing platform at Sandie Spring is best for portraits
Important reminders❗
The last scenic area shuttle bus is at 18:00
Check rainfall from the previous two days before visiting the waterfall
Bring a jacket for the big temperature difference between morning and evening
