Introduction❤️
Taiqing Palace is the birthplace of Laozi, the ancestral court of Taoism, and one of the famous Taoist temples of Quanzhen Taoism. It was built in the Eastern Han Dynasty and has a long history. It preserves many ancient buildings and cultural relics and is an important historical and cultural holy place.
Luyi is the place where Laozi was born, enlightened, and preached. Laozi is regarded as the founder of Taoism and the leader of Taoism by the government and Taoism. As a temple dedicated to Laozi, Taiqing Palace is the first super temple in the world to be recorded in official history, built by the government, protected by the royal family, and unparalleled in scale. On April 2, 2007, Ren Farong, then a member of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference and president of the Chinese Taoist Association, led 99 famous Taoist masters from all over the country to Taiqing Palace in Luyi to pray for blessings and good fortune for Laozi's hometown with the highest Taoist standards. Under the witness of the unveiling ceremony of the "Ancestral Court of Taoism" inscribed by President Ren Farong, the birthplace of Taoism was officially recognized as Luyi, China.
