🛕 • Naphamethanidon pagoda (purple): Built in 1987 to honor His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej on the occasion of his 60th birthday.

These two pagodas are a symbol of the people's loyalty and a place of spiritual unity amidst the mountains.
The twin pagodas on Doi Inthanon—the Naphamethanidon and Naphaphonphumisiri pagodas—do not contain relics of the Lord Buddha, unlike some pagodas in northern Thailand.
