Manarola is a seaside village, not a lakeside or riverside one. It is located directly on the Ligurian Sea and has a small harbor, making sea travel and boat trips a very popular way to see the village and the rest of the Cinque Terre.
Route: A ferry service connects four of the five Cinque Terre villages—Monterosso, Vernazza, Manarola, and Riomaggiore—as well as other towns like Portovenere and La Spezia. The village of Corniglia is not directly accessible by ferry.
