Matsusaka Castle Ruins is located in Tonomachi, Matsusaka City, Mie Prefecture. It was built by Gamo Ujisato, a famous general in the Warring States Period, in 1588. Although there are no castle towers and main buildings now, the tall stone walls and castle area structures that are well preserved are currently one of the "100 Famous Castles in Japan". It is about a 15-20 minute walk from JR or Kintetsu "Matsusaka Station".
There were not many people in the afternoon, and there were many people walking and exercising in the castle ruins. You can bring your own things to enjoy at the castle ruins.
