🇯🇵 [Ehime Prefecture] The grounds are spacious! Anumimi Shrine ⛩️

According to the shrine's legend, it was founded by Ochi Morioki in the third year of Emperor Tenchi's reign (664)!! It is also said to be the tutelary deity of the Kume clan, descendants of Ajimimi-no-Mikoto. It was originally located at the top of Katsuyama, where Matsuyama Castle currently stands, and was also called "Katsuyama Mishima Daimyojin." When Kato Yoshiaki built Matsuyama Castle in 1602, it was moved to Ajizake Village, and came to be called "Ajizake Shrine."
